Email from John O'Donnell - 07/04/2016 ref. Weekly Email - Trent Lock
Well what can I say about the Trent Lock Challenge (handicap)guessing your own finishing time. Start off with a huge success, 31 members taking part, battling high Winds on the way out and being blown home, at least the rain kept off so The top half was dry even if the feet got wet. First back for the Ladies Catherine Wilson 78:06, First back for the men George Russell 68:45 And the winner of the 2016 Trent Lock Challenge Chris Bexton. Who put her own finishing time down as 83:57 actually finished in 83:58, 1s out. Well done Chris, And well done to everybody who raced, there was a lot of personal battles out there, What doesn’t break you makes you tougher. Not forgetting the guy who bought it back into play Simon Elliott, great job mate. And all the guys an girls that helped, Dick, Louise, Tony, Julie, Phil, Amanda, Pep, Pat and all the rest. Thanks to Beeston Marina for food and drinks. Results and pictures on our facebook group page.
